Our beautiful setting places great emphasis on making the Nursery warm, kind and loving, where special care is taken to ensure that each child feels nurtured and cherished. We fully realise the vital necessity of guiding children well in their formative years; thus, by means of warm, positive encouragement we stimulate children’s natural enthusiasm for life and their desire to understand the world around them.

Careful planning will take into account each child’s individual needs, informed by sensitive listening, observations and reflection by our skilled staff. Staff will support child-initiated and spontaneous play exceptionally well, and because they will know children’s needs they will be able to ensure that all are challenged and helped to make outstanding progress.

ALL of our staff are  Enhanced DBS Checked,  all have current Pediatric First Aid Certificates and Safeguarding Certificates all of which will be continuously updated.  Our staff also participate in courses recommended by Ofsted to keep their knowledge up to date, ensuring your children have the best care and learning facilities possible.  We have cctv in all of our rooms.  Fresh Meals are also prepared onsite daily by our Nursery Cook Tracey and we have a 5 Star Rating from Watford Council for our Kitchen.

Based in Sandown Road North Watford  - Teddies Tots Day Nursery is situated in a prime location near to local bus routes, both Watford North and Watford Junction Train Stations and M1 and M25 – perfect for commuters. We offer all of our parents half price gym membership in our on site gym, parents of full-time children receive complimentary gym membership.

Nursery Director - Rita Ashton
 

My vision for Teddies Tots has always been to create a Family atmosphere in a warm and inviting nursery.  We are a family-run establishment and hope to give Parents a feel that it is a home from home atmosphere.

I have certificates in pediatric first aid courses, safeguarding and food hygiene and constantly attend Ofsted approved courses and updates.  It is important to me that I am involved in the day to day running of the nursery, I help with the funding, budgets, down to the cleaning if needed! It is important to me that all the Children know me and I take time to get to know them all, its really rewarding being involved every day and seeing their progress.
Since opening in 2015, we have expanded - giving us a separate baby and toddler area and separate sleep rooms which have given us 3 separate rooms for pre-school.  We have just also added an indoor soft play area where we have also introduced PE.   The children get plenty of exercise/fun even when the weather is too bad for outdoor play. 
 
We are fortunate to have such a wonderful team working with us, who are caring, compassionate and love their job!
In our Nursery Office, you will find the following members of staff: Nursery Acting Manager/Deputy Lynn Lovegrove and Deputy Manager Kerry Charlton both of whom come from Outstanding backgrounds. Our office door is always open and we pride ourselves on being flexible and approachable so please never hesitate to come and speak to us if you have any questions or enquires!
